Heaven by the Sea is a heart-warming story with a devilish component. It follows the main character through the three Heaven and Earth Ages. Part One, The First Earth Age, establishes the relationships between the main character, A.J., and several of the secondary characters. It also sets the tone for Parts Two and Three-the second and third Earth Ages. In Part Two, A.J. is a “fifty something” widowed preacher in a seedy borough of New York City. His wife of twenty-five years died five years earlier from a rare form.
